In May 2019, Chengdu Marathon became China's first world marathon Grand Slam candidate event, 2020 Chengdu Marathon was assessed as the China Association of Athletics Federations (CAAF) Gold Medal event, 2021 was assessed as the “World Association of Athletics Federations (WAAF) Elite Labeling” event. 2024, Chengdu Marathon successfully ranked among the “World Association of Athletics Federations (WAAF) Gold Labeling” event ranks. In 2024, the Chengdu Marathon will be recognized as a “WAAAF Gold Label” event. Transportation

Airplanes

There are two airports: Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport and Chengdu Tianfu International Airport. Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport is located at the junction of Shuangliu and Wuhou districts, about 16 kilometers from the center of Chengdu. Chengdu Tianfu International Airport is located in the eastern part of Chengdu (Janyang), about 100 kilometers from the city center.

It is recommended to choose Shuangliu Airport for arrival flights.

 

Bus & Subway

Mt. Qingcheng is 15km from Dujiangyan City proper and 68km from Chengdu City.It is the eastern ridge of southern Qionglai Mountains.The summit of Mt. Qingcheng is Bamian Mountain ( also called Zhaogong Mountain).
