On July 20, 2024, the "Shanghai Summer" Track and Field Relay Challenge kicked off with runners who live in the moment and express themselves, at the blue track of the Luwan Stadium in Shanghai. Foreign runners from "RUN CHINA" also formed five international teams to join this hot competition.

Meowjang Team, Meowjang Crew, 7 minute pace club, FitFam Heroes, and FitFam Binjiang Heatwave... Most of the temporarily formed teams were foreign runners who have settled in Shanghai for a long time, and there were also foreign friends who came specially from Wuhan to participate.

 

The running ambassadors of "RUN CHINA" - Raphael Harry Avraam from the UK and Vadzim Dashkouski from Belarus, invited their Chinese friends to form the “7 minute pace club” to participate together.

Vadzim is a professional model who has been to many places in China, but loves Shanghai the most. As a running enthusiast, his favorite training ground is the same as many people's, on the Binjiang. For this competition, he changed his usual long-distance running habit and started short-distance running training a month in advance. In the competition, he completed the last stick of the group (400 meters) with a result of 2 minutes and 40 seconds.

 

Raphael has been in China for 6 years and started participating in marathons in China last year. As a teacher at an international school, he trains on weekends and has participated in more than 20 domestic marathon events. He said he will continue to run and run all over China with RUN CHINA Must Run China.

 

The ambassadors' team, 7 minute pace club, finally completed the competition with a result of 15 seconds and 59. Among the five international teams, Meowjang Crew performed the best, winning the 6th place in this competition with a result of 12 minutes and 46 seconds.

In addition to the joy brought by the results, the atmosphere on the spot and the enthusiasm of Chinese runners also brought a great competition experience to foreign friends. After the game, they spontaneously shared the event on social platforms, praised "RUN CHINA ", and expressed their hope to participate in more such events.

 

By participating in such activities, international friends who perfectly integrate into the atmosphere of the on-site competition not only feel the joy and enthusiasm of the summer night in the magic city, but also feel the unique charm of Shanghai as a sports capital in China.
