"China's five thousand years of history can be seen underground in Xi'an and above ground in Taiyuan. In this year's new route, participants will immerse themselves in the 'Millennium Jin Charm, Beautiful Taiyuan'. The Mini Run and Family Run have a very classic cultural and tourism route, with the finish line set on Wangjing Road, close to the Shanxi Museum, Shanxi Natural History Museum, and Taiyuan City Library. After the race, everyone can directly start their Taiyuan cultural and museum tour."

In September, Taiyuan is at the end of summer and the beginning of autumn, characterized by dryness and little rain. Over the past 13 years, the Taiyuan Marathon has never encountered rainy or stormy weather. Come to Taiyuan without any worries to run a marathon that spans three thousand years.

Age Requirements

• Marathon players shall be over 20 years old (born before or on December 31, 2003), be in good physical condition and regularly run with certain distance;
• Half Marathon players shall be over 16 years old (born before or on December 31, 2007), be in good physical condition and regularly run with certain distance;
• Mini Run players shall be over 13 years old (born before or on December 31, 2010), be in good physical condition.
  In the Family Run event, participants can choose to register and participate with either two adults over the age of 20 leading one child under the age of 13, or one adult over the age of 20 leading one child under the age of 13.

For all participants who are over 65 years old (born before or on December 31, 1958), their family members must sign the participation statements and health certificates.

Tips

The organizing committee requires all participants to undergo a health examination at a hospital rated at least as a second-tier hospital within the last 12 months before the race. The examination mainly includes blood pressure, routine electrocardiogram or 24-hour Holter monitoring or exercise stress test (any one of the three is sufficient). If blood pressure is too high or the electrocardiogram shows obvious abnormalities (such as significant bradycardia, etc.), an echocardiogram is required. Electrocardiogram and echocardiogram cannot replace each other. Participants are asked to self-assess based on the examination report to confirm that their physical condition can adapt to long-distance running before registering for the race.
Cancellations: Registration fees are non-refundable once successfully processed. Entries are non-transferable and limited to the registered participant only.
